SKY is the governance token of the Sky Protocol, which is a rebranded and upgraded version of MakerDAO that completed its transition in 2025, allowing existing MKR holders to convert at a 24,000:1 ratio. The token operates within a decentralized finance ecosystem alongside the USDS stablecoin, enabling holders to participate in protocol governance, earn staking rewards, and access features like the Sky Savings Rate.
